Ken Burns

Ken focuses on student storage, early arrivals, extended stay, communication to our Monroe Neighborhood, and the facilitation of other greater campus wide operational needs. He oversees two Community Advisors and helps support their community building efforts on campus. Ken also serves in an on-call capacity focusing on crisis management, as well as serving as a conduct officer.

Before joining the Lafayette community in October of 2019, Ken worked as an Area Coordinator in the Residence Life Office at the University of Scranton. He previously completed his Graduate Assistant position at Thiel College as a Resident Director of Residence Life. Ken has a Bachelor’s Degree in History from Thiel College, and a Master’s Degree in College Counseling and Student Affairs from Youngstown State University.

While Ken is not at work, you can find him regularly at the gym preparing for his next powerlifting competition. He enjoys comic books, loud music, fast cars, and watching Philly professional sports. He and his wife reside on campus.
