About

The Office of Residence Life manages a variety of living environments in which learning is supported and extended beyond the classroom. Residence Life professional and student staff members offer programs, administer processes, and provide services that promote the achievement of educational objectives and personal well-being, encourage reasoned and ethical behavior, and foster understanding of the responsibilities that accompany living in a residential academic community. Thus, because the College feels so strongly about the importance of living on campus and how it helps facilitate education and growth, students are required to live on campus for all four years they attend Lafayette.
Community Standards
This concept guides the residential communities in maintaining a safe and respectful environment in which all students are able to flourish as student-scholars. Residents help establish the expectations for their living environment, which may include the use of common spaces, cleanliness, and addressing infractions. To derive maximum benefits, it is the duty of each member of the community to understand not only individual and group rights, but also the corresponding responsibilities. All Community Standards tenets must comply with the Introductory Statement of the Code of Conduct.
