College Housing Closes Tuesday, December 19th at 5:00pm

All residents of College housing, including college-owned off-campus houses/apartments and the McCartney Residences, are expected to depart for semester break within 24 hours after their last final exam OR by 5:00pm on Tuesday, December 19th (whichever is earliest).  Fobs will be deactivated and exterior locks on college-owned off-campus houses will be changed.  If housing is needed over the break, students must register and pay additional fees for Winter Housing   Residents who do not vacate by the stated deadline are subject to a Late Check-out Fee.

College personnel will enter each student room to conduct an inspection and secure the halls for the break period. Please bear in mind that you are subject to legal and College disciplinary action should prohibited items be found in plain view during any inspection. Non-occupied buildings will be alarmed and monitored. You are encouraged to take all valuable and irreplaceable items home.

Be sure to remove all the items you think you may need while you are away from campus.  Room access is restricted during the break unless you are registered for Winter Housing.  No picking up or dropping off items is permitted until the residence halls reopen for the spring semester on Saturday, January 20th. In emergencies, students may contact the Office of Public Safety for special permission. Public Safety will assess a fee for this service.

Students who are changing rooms or not returning for the spring semester must remove all personal items and return room keys before departing for Winter Break.

Residential students will receive a direct email outlining closing tasks and check out procedures in early December.
